Princesses and Maids

Princess Lucinda was sitting on my lap this morning, telling me all about how to be a princess.
“I’m very happy you’re a princess because that makes me a Queen”
And Lucinda explains: “mummy every princess has a maid, it can be a he or a she.” “You’re my maid.”
“I don’t want to be the maid, I’d rather be the Queen”
“Well, it can’t be Zac or Dave because they would leave.”

We then had a very educational conversation about the merits of the modern princess who is so clever she can do everything herself…. fell on deaf ears I fear.

x Maid Fiona

A Town Called Lucinda.

This is the town of Lucinda, which we were visiting, almost 5 years ago when Fiona was pregnant with our first daughter together. We loved its Geoffrey Smart lines, and it’s name, so much we named our girl after it.
