Lucinda: Here, I’ll brush your nose, then we go on holidays for FIVE days!
First Death- metal ballad: Death comes with a pocket-knife
Image via WikipediaEthan has written songs before, but tonight brought the first Death – metal opus:
death, death, death,
he stabbed with a pocketknife for nothing,
for nothing, blood, blood blood
for nothing,
death death death
He sang it in the kitchen, then sang it happily while accompanying himself on the drums.
Missing for Longer than we Thought
We were down at the local playground this weekend, and Lucinda was out of my sight for a couple of minutes. I could see Ethan, though, so I called, “Ethan, where is Lucinda?”
He answered: “Oh, she died in the 1850’s” !
Classic Lucinda, and true for he next five minutes

don’t treat me like such a mammal.
Ethan has been coining new phrases every day lately. As I reported here, one recent smash hit has been “it’s a wobbly planet”. We find this expression has a hundred and one uses around the home. Yesterday, a new one: “Dont treat me like such a mammal, Dad!”
