A couple of months ago I received one of the best gifts of my entire life from my friends Phil and Blair at work. It is a Hohner DOUBLE BASS CHROMATIC HARMONICA. It’s enormous. It has an upper and lower section joined with a hinge. I am slowly learning to make some sounds on it which do not remind the listener of the distress call of a large goose.

The camera’s been out of action for a while, so I haven’t been able to show you Lucinda’s developments. She’s taking a few steps now, and lets the odd word slip (such as “Dog-Dog”, and “Yum”). I wish I could show you her unique one-leg-outboard high speed crawling style.

Ethan’s special friend Mia spent the afternoon with us this weekend.

We had a perfect holiday going to Adelaide, the Eyre Peninsula, the Barossa and the Riverland. Bliss. Ethan and Lucinda were fabulous (not one “ARE WE THERE YET??”) We stayed in a wonderful shack on he Eyre Peninsula for 6 days, and I also got a chance to see inside Baxter Detention Facility where I visited a guy there. That was an eye opener.
On Ethan’s birthday, Lucinda cut her bottom front right tooth.
Ethan decorated the front of the house and cut out a big 4 and a big E for the front door.
Party on! Ethan’s party guests were Jake, Chloe and Perry.

with real fire coming from the engines.
Actually, the cake kind of caught fire.
Lucinda eats by herself for the first time.
Ethan Turned 4 yesterday (1/9/05) and Mia came to tea to celebrate.
